ABOUT
Healthy Dancer Canada Conference 2025
Jump In: From Insight to Impact
November 8 & 9, 2025
This year, we invite you to Jump In; to be open and honest, responsive and responsible to our community. Grounded in the Healthy Dancer Canada core value of integrity, accountability, and transparency, this year’s theme challenges us to engage thoughtfully and act collectively; creating spaces where every voice is heard and valued, and therefore, where dancers can feel safe and able to thrive in their artistry. We aim to support environments that amplify dancers’ voices, bring awareness to the complexities of dancer health, and take action to build a responsive community. We invite you to explore the journey from insight to impact through research and practice. How do we build accountable spaces that listen to dancers’ needs? How can we foster a culture that challenges the status quo, centers holistic health, and empowers community-driven change? How can we jump in to transform our collective insights into meaningful, sustainable change for the future of dancer health and wellness?

Here's what attendees have to say about our conferences:
"I came from Italy, and it was really worth it. I had the chance to share my latest choreographic project with professionals from all around the world, and I also had the pleasure of listening to some fascinating research and seeing dance projects there! The location was wonderful, and I really appreciated all the effort and organization that went into both the in-person and hybrid aspects of the conference... It was an amazing experience!" SIMONA
---
"I have a greater understanding of the issues involved in maintaining dancer wellness, particularly in young dancers. I enjoyed seeing young dancers, experienced dancers, teachers, and healthcare professionals come together to network and discuss how to make dance better for everyone..." MARIEL
---
"Attending the Healthy Dancer Canada 2017 Conference was an absolutely amazing opportunity, filled with great conversation, networking opportunities, and professional development that I am immensely grateful for. The social time allowed me to connect with local health practitioners with a background in dance, while the lecture-style presentations and studio based time allowed for a comprehensive weekend full of learnings that I look forward to sharing with my colleagues..." VANESSA
