Self Care for the Artistic Soul (Nicole Inica Hamilton)
The purpose of this online interactive workshop is to define self care and disseminate ways in which we can implement the practice of it into our daily lives. The workshop will discuss the implication of negating a self care practice, while also sharing on the definition of stress and the impact of prolonged stress. Furthermore, the workshop will present an opportunity for participants to collectively engage in mindfulness exercises and discussion.
This 45-minute workshop will have equal relevance to artists and all those who have experienced varying levels of stress who are also seeking ways to implement the practice of self-care into the scope of their daily lives. The current shift and state of our global climate has meant that many are seeking ways to enhance and better serve their mental, physical, and spiritual needs. This workshop provides an opportunity for those working within dance and beyond, a platform to access and adapt strategic care practices which can potentially optimize holistic wellbeing.
